The Labyrinth is where a character earns its ascendancy — the specialisation on top of its class — and it is run four times at rising difficulty. The first three come with the campaign; the fourth needs level seventy-five and the six trials scattered through maps, which is to say it needs the endgame. Listings say «3/3 labs» or «4 labs» for exactly that reason, and the price steps up between the two by more than it moves anywhere else on this shelf.

Level is stated by nearly every listing and it climbs with the price across the shelf — but we cross-tabulated it against the labyrinths, and inside the four-lab accounts the level bands are nearly flat. A ninety is not worth much more than an eighty once both have the fourth lab; it is worth a great deal more than a seventy that does not. Read the level as a proxy for which product you are looking at, and the fourth lab as the product.

Class is a preference, not a price. The seven base classes and their ascendancies sell for about the same at the same progress — sellers list the ascendancy and often the build («Righteous Fire», «Lightning Arrow») so that a buyer who wants that specific character finds it. Our slices are built by class because that is how the account is searched for, not because one class costs more.

Past the fourth lab sit the built characters: voidstones on the atlas, atlas passive points, a stash with something in it and premium tabs bought with real money. Those are stated by a handful of listings, they are the shelf's dear tail, and they are priced by what is in the stash and on the character rather than by any single number.

Decide first whether you want the campaign done or the endgame begun. Three labs is a character standing at the door of maps with its ascendancy half earned; four labs is one that has been through it. They are different prices for a reason, and the second is the one to buy if your plan is to skip the grind rather than to play it.

Then the class and the build, because that is the character you will actually play. Sellers name the ascendancy and often the skill; a listing with «Righteous Fire» or «Lightning Arrow» in it is a character with a plan, and a plan is worth more to you than a level if it is your plan.

Then the login. A Path of Exile account is either a standalone account with the game's own client or a Steam account, and the listing says which; the email behind it must come with the account, and «native» or «original» is the word sellers use for that. A registration date in the title is the account's age — read it for what it is, not as a price.

Last, remember what a league is. A character belongs to the league it was made in, and when that league ends it moves to Standard together with its stash. A fresh character built for the current league is exactly what most listings here are; buy it knowing where it will live in three months.

Grinding Gear Games bans for botted levelling and for account trading, and a bought account inherits its history. That is why sellers write «hand-leveled» as a feature: a character levelled by a person rather than a script is one whose history will not catch up with you. A fresh account with a recent registration date has the least history of all, which is the other thing those dates are telling you.

The login is the second risk. A standalone account is recovered through its email; a Steam account through Steam's own recovery, which is a different procedure and a different email. A listing that hands over the password but not the mailbox is handing over an account the previous owner can take back — «native» and «original» are the words that say the mailbox comes with it, and their absence is a question to ask before paying.

Escrow covers the handover: the payment stays with us until you confirm the account opens, the character is what the listing said and the labs are done, and the warranty window runs from there. What it cannot cover is the league calendar — a character that moves to Standard at the end of its league has not been taken from you, it has moved.

Secure the login before you enter a map; the stash and the character are the purchase, and both can be emptied by whoever still holds the email.

Write the title the way this shelf is read: the class and ascendancy, the level, and how many labyrinths are done — «Necromancer, level 85, 4 labs» finds a buyer; a title without the labs is invisible to the way buyers compare. Then the build if it has one, the voidstones and atlas if it went that far, the stash tabs, whether the account is standalone or Steam, and that it was levelled by hand and comes with its email. You keep your price in full; the buyer pays our fee on top.
