That median is close to useless on its own, because this shelf is not one
market. of it sells

$100, and the gap is not a matter of degree — it is two different things sold
under one game.
Read the bottom row first, because it is the biggest one: most listings on this
shelf say nothing about battles at all, and that group is the cheap half of the
market. These are garage accounts — a tank collection, gold, bonds, sometimes a
reward vehicle, and no career behind them. They are a real product and they are
priced like one.
The listings that do state a career are a different market with a different
price. Decide which one you are in before you compare anything.
Battles dominate, and nothing else comes close. The ladder is steep:
From the bottom band to the top is an order of magnitude in money. This is
the number to lead with if you are selling and the number to sort by if you are
buying — everything else on a WoT card is commentary.
Look at the win rate row in the table above: it does not merely fail to predict
the price, it points slightly downwards. That is unusual enough to be worth
explaining rather than reporting.
Across the believable range the win rate behaves exactly as you would expect:
each band is worth a little more than the one below it. Then, above 60%, the
price falls off a cliff — the best-looking accounts on the shelf are the
cheapest on it.
The reason is in the battle counts. Listings claiming 60% or better have a
median of twenty-six battles. A quarter of them have ten or fewer. Listings
claiming a normal win rate have a median in the high hundreds. A new World of
Tanks account fights low tiers against beginners and bots, so twenty wins in
twenty-six games is ordinary — and it produces an 80% figure that means nothing
at all. The same arithmetic inflates WN8 on those accounts to several times what
a veteran account shows.
So the market has already worked this out and prices it correctly. A spectacular
win rate on a WoT listing is not a sign of a strong account; it is a sign of a
new one.

Personal rating deserves one note: it does climb with real accounts, but it is
built partly from battle count, so on this shelf it mostly repeats what the
battle number already said — and it carries obvious placeholder values at the
top of its range.
- Lead with the battle count. It is the number that sorts this shelf.
- State the win rate only if you have a real career behind it. Under a few
hundred battles it reads as a new account, and buyers discount it.
- Do not lead with WN8. On a small sample it is noise, and experienced
buyers know that.
- If it is a garage account, say so plainly and list the tanks. Pretending
a zero account has a career is the fastest way to a dispute.
Decide first whether you want a career or a garage: they are different products
at different prices, and the shelf mixes them. If you want a career, sort by
battles and treat everything else as secondary. If a listing leads with a
70% win rate, open the battle count before anything else — it will usually
explain the whole listing.
