"OG account" gets used for anything made before last year. What buyers actually pay for is narrower: items that cannot be obtained now and are not scheduled to return.
An account from Chapter 1 with common skins is an old account, not a valuable one. Value sits in three groups:
Never returned. Aerial Assault Trooper, Renegade Raider, the earliest battle pass exclusives. Nothing brings them back, and the price reflects that.
Returned once and moved the market. Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper came back in altered form, and the original variants — purple Skull Trooper, pink Ghoul Trooper — stayed distinct. Accounts holding the original variant kept most of their value; accounts holding the reissue did not.
Collaboration exclusives. Travis Scott, Ikonik, Honor Guard. These depend on promotions ending rather than on seasons, and they behave differently: the price is stable while the promotion is dead and collapses if it is ever repeated.
The card should name the skins, not describe them. "Rare OG skins" is not a claim — it is the absence of one. A listing that promises rarity without naming an item is one to skip, here or anywhere.

This is the part specific to Fortnite: the same locker is worth different money in different weeks. Every time a cosmetic returns to the item shop, accounts built around it lose part of their premium. Nothing else in our catalogue moves this way — a League server or a Brawl Stars trophy count does not depend on what a publisher does next Tuesday.
Practical consequence: buy on today's market, not on what an account was worth when the listing was created. Our Fortnite price page is computed from listings currently on sale, so it moves with the shop rather than lagging behind it.
Two things often sold as value and worth less than they look:
Save the World access is genuinely non-obtainable now, and it does add value — but less than the headline suggests, because the audience for it is small.
Account level adds almost nothing. It says how much someone played, not what they own. A level 800 account with common skins is worth less than a level 90 with one rare one.
