Account recovery

The original owner reclaiming a sold account through the publisher's support — the main risk of buying accounts.

Publishers will return an account to whoever can prove they created it: the first email, the first payment, the creation date and IP. A seller who keeps that information can take the account back after selling it. The defence is the original email (change it immediately) and the warranty (a recovered account inside thirty days is replaced or refunded); the marketplace's escrow and hold exist so that a recovery costs the seller, not the buyer.
