Hold

The seller's share of a confirmed order, kept by the marketplace until the warranty window closes.

After the buyer confirms, the seller's money does not go to the balance straight away: it sits on hold for the length of the warranty. If the account is recovered or the item was not as described inside that window, the refund comes out of the hold rather than out of the marketplace's pocket. When the window closes the hold is released to the seller's balance, from which a payout can be requested.
