That a cosmetic has stopped appearing in the item shop. Epic has never announced a permanent vault, so nothing here is officially gone for good — but every item on this list has sat out at least a year of rotations, and some have sat out most of the game's lifetime.

Some will. Epic has un-vaulted plenty of items, and the longer a skin has been away the louder its return tends to be. The bet this page helps you make is a price one: an account with the item costs what it costs today, and a return would change that.

Because it was never in the shop to begin with. Battle pass, event and promo cosmetics have no shop history at all, so they can't be ranked by how long they've been away. They're on the marketplace all the same — their own item pages say plainly that Epic has no way to sell them.

The list is ranked by absence, not fame. An unremarkable 2018 emote that never returned outranks a famous skin that came back last season. Prestige and unavailability are different things, and only one of them is measurable.

That one counts our shelf — how few live accounts carry an item right now. This one counts Epic's shop — how long it has been impossible to buy the item new. A skin can be common on the marketplace and long vaulted, or freshly sold and still scarce here.
