The standard starter is defined by its thirteen diamond cards — that is what the product is, which is why nearly every listing states the same figure. A number almost all the goods share cannot tell them apart, and the same goes for souls: we compared soul bands inside each half of this shelf, and the price does not climb with them in either. A starter with half a million souls and one with two hundred thousand sell for about the same. What souls buy is the next card pack, and every starter has enough of them to be a starter.

What does move a starter's price is what sits above the standard thirteen: a listing with twenty or thirty diamond cards is a different account, and the shelf pays for the difference. Gold — the everyday currency — moves it a little, in proportion.

The built accounts are priced by dragon crystals, the currency bought with money, and that number tracks price on this shelf harder than anything else does. It is a straight receipt: crystals are what the previous owner spent, and what the next owner can spend on packs. Beside them the listings state maxed characters, epic gear and specific fighters, and those are read from the screenshots rather than from a count — sellers mix rarities in one line, and the counts are not comparable between listings.

Platform is a precondition rather than a price: the account lives on the store it was made on, and listings say Android or iOS in the first words for that reason.

Then decide which of the two markets you are in. If you want a start, buy the cheapest starter that has the cards you want: since souls barely move the price, paying extra for a larger soul balance is the most common way to overpay here. If you want an account that is already built, read the crystals and the roster, and expect to pay multiples of a starter.

Third, on a starter, look above the standard thirteen cards. Twenty or thirty diamond cards is what you are actually paying more for, and our slices are built on exactly that.

Last, on a built account, open the screenshots. The counts in the titles mix rarities — thirteen diamond cards at maximum and twenty-two gold ones are not the same claim — so the roster is something you read, not something you compare by number.

The handover is the risk on a shelf this cheap. A Mortal Kombat Mobile account is reached through the login it was bound to — a WB Games account, or a Google, Apple or Facebook login — and what you want is to end up holding it yourself. An account left on the seller's social login is an account they can take back, whatever the card count says.

Then open the roster and compare it with the listing: the diamond cards, the crystal and soul balances, and the named fighters. On a built account the screenshots are the description — check them against the live roster rather than against the title.

Listing is free and you receive exactly the price you set: the platform's fee is added on top for the buyer rather than taken out of your price. State the store in the first words, then what is above the standard: the diamond card count if it is more than the usual thirteen, the dragon crystals if the account was funded, the named fighters and gear if it was built. Souls are worth stating and not worth leading with — every starter on this shelf has them, and a title that leads with souls reads as one more starter.
