The most expensive Genshin Impact accounts — and what actually sets the price
The dearest account on our shelf costs $1 186 with 21 five-stars. The one below it has 31 five-stars and costs $376 less. Across 1 056 accounts, constellations predict the price far better than the number of five-stars does.
The most expensive Genshin Impact account on our shelf today costs $1 186.56. It is AR 60, European server, 65 characters, 21 five-stars.
The second most expensive costs $810.12 — and it has 31 five-stars, ten more than the leader, on a bigger roster. More of the thing everybody counts, $376 less money.
That is not a pricing error. It is the whole point.
The top of the shelf
Every number below is from our own catalogue on 23 August 2026.
| price | 5★ chars | constellations | 5★ weapons | achievements | days played |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $1 186.56 | 21 | 23 | 11 | 650 | 872 |
| $810.12 | 31 | 20 | 17 | 1 274 | 1 020 |
| $595.68 | 31 | 13 | 11 | 901 | 1 343 |
| $569.45 | 29 | 18 | 8 | 1 348 | 1 109 |
| $473.28 | 9 | 24 | 5 | 415 | 181 |
| $354.98 | 13 | 21 | 11 | 275 | 194 |
Look at the fifth row. Nine five-stars — fewer than half of what the leader has, fewer than almost anything else near the top — and it still costs $473. It also has more constellations than any other account in the table.
And look at rows two and three: same 31 five-stars, $214 apart. The dearer one has 20 constellations to the other's 13.
What the whole catalogue says
Six accounts prove nothing, so we ran it across all 1 056 Genshin listings that carry full attributes and measured how strongly each number tracks the price:
| what | how strongly it tracks price |
|---|---|
| Constellations | 0.80 |
| Five-star characters | 0.65 |
| Days played | 0.63 |
| Five-star weapons | 0.62 |
| Total characters | 0.55 |
| Achievements | 0.51 |
Constellations win, and not narrowly. The count everybody puts in the listing title — how many five-stars — is a distant second.
Why constellations and not character count
A constellation is a duplicate. Getting a five-star character once can happen to anyone who plays long enough and saves; getting the same five-star six times is a spending record.
So the two numbers measure different things:
- Five-star count measures breadth — how many banners you were around for. Time does most of that work. Play from launch, pull carefully on standard banners, and the roster fills up on its own.
- Constellations measure depth — how much was actually poured into the banners you cared about. Time cannot substitute for it.
An account with 31 five-stars at C0 is a long-running free-to-play account. An account with 9 five-stars and 24 constellations belonged to someone who picked a team and paid to finish it. The second one is worth more, because the second one cannot be reproduced by waiting.
That is also why days played sits at 0.63 and achievements at 0.51: both are proxies for how long, and how long is the cheap ingredient.
What this means if you are buying
Read past the title. Listings advertise five-star counts because that number is big and easy. Constellations tell you whether the characters are actually usable at the level you want to play at — a C6 support beats a C0 you will bench.
Decide breadth or depth before you shop. If you want to try everything, a wide C0 roster is genuinely cheaper per character and there is nothing wrong with buying one. If you want a team that clears endgame content now, you are buying constellations and should pay for them knowingly.
Check the server before anything else. Europe, Asia and America are separate worlds; a great account on the wrong one is a great account you cannot play with your friends. It sits in the listing title on every account we sell, and it is the single most common thing buyers overlook.
The rest of the checklist — what a full-access handover looks like, what to do in the first ten minutes — is in how to check a game account before you pay.
What this means if you are selling
Put your constellation total in the title, next to the five-star count. If you have 9 five-stars and 24 constellations, a title that only says "9 five-stars" is describing the cheaper half of your account and hiding the expensive half.
Then price against the actual market rather than a feeling — the Genshin value calculator compares an account to live listings, and what decides the price of a gacha account covers the same ground for Honkai and Zenless.
Looking for free rewards rather than an account? The live Genshin Impact redeem codes list is reconciled against the wiki and dated, so a dead code never sits among the active ones.
All figures come from our own catalogue on 23 August 2026 — 1 057 Genshin accounts, from $1.45 to $1 186.56, median $16.64 — and they move as stock moves. The correlation figures are Pearson coefficients across the 1 056 listings with complete attributes.

Limited characters, constellations and the region you cannot change. Why account level matters least, and what a starter account actually buys you.
Black Ice is the skin every Siege buyer asks about and no shop can filter for, because Ubisoft reports skins by count, not by name. What makes it rare, where it hides on a listing, and the uncomfortable number from our own 96-account shelf: accounts that mention Black Ice do not sell for more.
Median Steam account on our shelf: $13.94 across 1 544 listings. The library sets the price, age multiplies it, and two games in the library — Rust and CS2 — lift the median three to five times on their own. Here is what the numbers support.
