The most expensive Genshin Impact account on our shelf right now costs
$9,547.53. The median costs
$22.92, and between the two sit
2 240 listings —
46,8% of them under $20,
17,6% over $100, and
3,1% over $300.
So the top of the shelf is thin, and "the most expensive accounts" is a question
about what those few percent have that the rest do not. The answer is not the
one this page gave three weeks ago, and the change is the useful part.

Adventure Rank is on almost every listing, and it is the single strongest
signal on the shelf — the top band sits an order of magnitude above the bottom
one, with most of the jump happening at the top. We checked that it is not an artefact of
how listings are described: split the shelf into listings that carry a full
roster readout and listings that do not, and the ladder holds inside both, at
roughly the same steepness.
Why AR and not the roster: Adventure Rank is time-gated in a way nothing
else on the account is. You cannot buy it, you cannot rush it past the world
level walls, and an AR 60 account has by definition done everything the game
has asked of it for years. It is the one number that proves the account was
played rather than assembled.

Read the middle column as "does more of this mean a dearer account", and read
the listing counts next to it: the roster fields are measured on the half of the
shelf that publishes a full readout, and they describe that half.
Within it, the five-star count is the best roster signal, and it ladders
cleanly:

Each band roughly doubles the one below it. The listings that state no roster at
all — the "not stated" row — are the other half of the shelf, described in prose
rather than fields, and they are not a band; they are a different kind of
listing, and they price higher across the board.
Three weeks ago this page said constellations predicted the price far better
than the five-star count did. On today's shelf that is the wrong way round, and
it is worth being precise about why, because both versions are true of the
shelf they were measured on.

Look at the first row. The large majority of measured accounts have no
constellations at all. A constellation is a duplicate — pulling the same
five-star twice — and on a shelf that has filled up with long-running
low-spend accounts, almost nobody has one. Where constellations do exist they
still lift the price steeply, but the top two bands are a few dozen listings
between them, and a number that is zero on most of the shelf cannot sort most of
the shelf.
The argument behind the old claim still stands, and it is why constellations
matter at the top: the five-star count measures breadth — how many banners
you were around for, which time does for you — while constellations measure
depth, how much was actually poured into the characters you cared about, which
time cannot substitute for. An account with thirty C0 five-stars is a
long-running free-to-play account. An account with nine five-stars and twenty
constellations belonged to someone who picked a team and paid to finish it.
What changed is the shelf, not the logic. When most listings were mid-spend
accounts, constellations separated them; now that most are low-spend,
constellations are a property of the top few percent, and the five-star count
does the sorting below that.
Sort the shelf by server and the European and American medians come out well
above the Asian one. Do not price off that. We cross-tabulated server against
listing kind, and among comparable listings the three big servers land within
about a dollar of each other — the raw gap is that the two kinds of listing are
not evenly spread across regions. The server decides who can use the account,
which matters enormously; it does not decide what the account is worth.
Read AR first, then the five-star list, then constellations. In that order,
because that is the order in which the shelf prices them — and because AR is
the one you cannot be misled about.
Decide breadth or depth before you shop. If you want to try everything, a
wide C0 roster is genuinely cheaper per character. If you want a team that
clears endgame content now, you are shopping in the constellation bands, which
are small, and you should expect to pay for what you find there.
Check the server before anything else, not because it sets the price but
because a great account on the wrong server is a great account you cannot play
with your friends. It sits in the listing title on every account we sell, and it
is the single most common thing buyers overlook.

constellations, put the total next to them — a listing that says "9 five-stars"
and stops is describing the cheaper half of a C-heavy account and hiding the
expensive half.

Every figure on this page is read from our live catalogue when the page loads,
not written into the text — the shelf moves, and so do the numbers, which is
exactly how the earlier version of this page came to be wrong. Correlations are
Spearman coefficients, computed on ranks rather than raw prices, because the
dearest Genshin account on the shelf is worth hundreds of times the median and a
raw-price coefficient would mostly measure that one listing. Roster fields are
present on about half the shelf, which is why every table prints its own listing
count next to the median and keeps a separate row for the listings that state
nothing. The claims that the AR ladder holds inside both kinds of listing and
that the regional gap is composition were checked by cross-tabulation on the live
catalogue, not inferred from the tables above.
