Apex Legends (Apex) Accounts, Skins and Chests

Rank first, and it is a staircase rather than a slope. Rookie and Bronze accounts cost about the same regardless of level; Silver and Gold sit a step above; Platinum and Diamond sit another step above that, often several times the price of the bottom of the shelf. The rank is what the previous owner finished on and the points behind it are on the card — the table below maps the two.

Heirlooms second, and often first in practice. An heirloom is the one thing in Apex that cannot be bought outright: it comes from packs, at a rate that makes it a hundreds-of-dollars item by any honest count, and an account that has one is priced as an account with one. We do not receive heirlooms as a data field, so they are shown where they can be seen — in the screenshots and in the collection on the card.

Level matters less than its number suggests. It rises with play, the cap is high, and two accounts with the same rank and wildly different levels sell for similar money. What the level does tell you is how long the account has been played, which is worth knowing for a different reason — see the risks.

The EA side sets the floor: which platforms are linked, whether the account is a Steam-linked one, and the country it was made in. None of these are value, all of them decide whether the same account is playable for you at all.

Platform first. An Apex account lives on an EA account, and the EA account decides where it can be played: Steam-linked accounts play on PC through Steam, console-linked ones through the linked PlayStation or Xbox. The card shows the links; an account tied to a stranger's console is a permanent tie, not a detail.

Then the reason you are buying. If it is an heirloom, look for it in the screenshots and the collection before anything else, and treat any listing that mentions one without showing it as a listing that does not have one. If it is rank, read the points rather than the tier name — the table above is Respawn's own thresholds.

Third, the ranked gate: ranked play opens at level twenty, so any account on this shelf clears it — the level filter is for people who want a played account, not for access.

Access last and never optional: the mailbox on the EA account is what makes it yours, and EA's recovery process leans on purchase history the previous owner keeps. Every card says whether the email is included.

EA's terms forbid selling or sharing an account, and EA enforces more actively than most publishers: accounts caught being traded can be closed, and support restores accounts to whoever proves they made the first purchases. The practical risk is therefore two-sided — a recovery claim from the previous owner and, more rarely, EA acting on the transfer itself. Full access with the email included removes the first; nothing removes the second, and no warranty covers it.

Apex-specific: cheating bans are permanent and hardware-linked, and an account that was ever flagged carries that history. Accounts levelled by bots are banned in waves, weeks after the fact — a high level on a young account with almost no ranked history is the pattern to be suspicious of.

One thing that is not a risk but confuses buyers: cross-progression. Since EA merged console and PC progress under one EA account, «merging» is a one-time process that already happened on most accounts; it cannot be redone to fold a bought account into your own.

Change the EA password, then move the email to your own, then turn on EA login verification — in that order. Check the linked accounts page and remove any platform link you do not own; if the account is Steam-linked, the Steam login that comes with it needs the same three steps.

Then start the game and compare the profile with the card: level, rank and points, the legends unlocked and, if that is why you bought, the heirloom in the collection. All of it while the confirmation window is open — that is the window in which the seller's money is still frozen.

Listing is free and the commission applies on the sale. What sells an Apex account is stated plainly: the rank with its points, the level, which platforms are linked, the country, and — above everything — whether there is an heirloom, shown on a screenshot rather than claimed in a sentence. Buyers search for heirlooms by name; an account that shows one sells at a different price from an account that mentions one.
