Travis Scott Fortnite account: what the Astronomical skin is worth, and what the price is really made of

Short answer first: the Travis Scott premium is real in the listing prices and mostly not the skin's. The median Travis Scott listing on our shelf sells for $76.11, against $41.89 for the median Fortnite account; the cheapest with it is $39.54, the dearest $1,498.43, and 158 of the 1 961 live Fortnite accounts carry it. What the skin is

Travis Scott was sold in the item shop for one week around the Astronomical concert in April 2020, together with the Astroworld Cyclone glider and the emotes from the event. It has not been offered since; our shop history counts the appearances, all from that month. Whether it ever returns is not ours to say — Epic has not put it back in five years, and the reasons are well known — so "not available" is a statement about the shop as it has been, not a guarantee about the shop as it will be. The concert itself was the largest in-game event Fortnite had run, which is why the skin is remembered by people who never owned it.

Why the shelf says "account size", not "skin"

On every item shelf we compare listings with the item against listings without it, and we check whether the two groups are comparable in locker size before reading anything into the gap. For Black Knight and IKONIK the lockers match and the gap stands. For Travis Scott they do not: the shelf page shows accounts with the skin holding far more items than accounts without it.

That is not surprising. The skin went on sale in April 2020 to accounts that were already active and spending, and those accounts kept spending for five more years. What you see in the group's prices is the profile of a player who bought a concert skin — a large locker, a long history — not the price of the skin itself. The honest reading of the median is "this is what a large 2020 account costs", and the shelf page says so in as many words.

What a fair premium looks like

Take the account first. Look at the locker size, the exclusives around the skin — the same 2020 season had Midas, Deadpool, the Chapter 2 Season 2 pass — and price the account as if Travis Scott were not on it, using the Fortnite account value page and the locker's own items. Then add the skin. The right premium is what the skin adds to that account, and it is smaller than the gap between the group median and the shelf median.

The middle half of the group sits between $62.78 and $134.76; the low end is where a Travis Scott account with an otherwise ordinary locker lands, and it is the end to look at if the skin is what you came for.

Before you buy

1. The locker screenshot with Travis Scott and the Cyclone glider and event emotes — accounts from the event week usually have the set, and a listing with only the skin is worth a question.
2. Full access with email change. A 2020 account is old enough to be recoverable by an original owner who kept the mailbox.
3. Console links that cannot be removed; the card states them.
4. Compare against the Midas accounts shelf from the same season: if two listings are priced alike and one carries both, that one is the better buy.
