The first question decides most of the price. A fresh account is a licence to play: a Battle.net or Steam login created in a region where the game is available, with the phone number Activision requires on PC already attached, and no hours on it. Those listings are priced like a commodity and they differ by region and by which store the login lives in, not by anything the account has done. A played account is somebody's progress, and the shelf pays for it in one large step.

Inside the played half, the number everyone states — level fifty-five — is the same on every listing, because that is where the ranked playlist opens and the reason the account is for sale. It does not separate one played account from another; we measured it, and it is flat. What separates them is what was done after: mastery camos completed, a ranked season finished at a named tier, prestige levels, weapons levelled to the top. Those are written as names — a camo set, a season badge — and they are read from the screenshots, not from a number we can rank.

Skill rating is the one figure the ranked accounts state, and the dearest listings on the shelf carry one above ten thousand — the top tier of a season. It says the account was played to the ceiling by someone, which is the whole product on those lots; it also says the account has a history, and the section on risks is about what that means.

Platform matters less than the region does. The same Activision account plays on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and most listings say so; what changes between lots is the store login it is attached to — Battle.net, Steam or both — and the region that login was created in, which decides what the store will sell you afterwards.

Decide whether you want a way in or a head start. If your store sells the game and you can link a number, a fresh account is only worth it as a second account; if it does not, a fresh account in an open region is the product, and the region row is what you are choosing.

For a fresh account, read the login and the region before the price: Battle.net alone, Steam alone, or both linked, and the country the login was made in. The number must already be attached — that is the one thing the listing is selling — and the email behind the login must come with it, or the account is not yours.

For a played account, ignore the level and read what follows it. Every ranked-ready listing is fifty-five; the difference is the camos, the season badge and the prestige, and the screenshots are where those are verified. «Handmade» means levelled by a person rather than a tool, and on this game that is worth reading for the ban risk it lowers.

Then the number question in reverse: a played account sold «without number» is one you will link your own phone to. That is a normal way to sell a ranked account and often the cleaner one, but it means a step on your side before the first match, and a listing should say it plainly.

Bans travel with the account and with the machine. Call of Duty enforces against the Activision account and, separately, against hardware, and a played account carries whatever history its previous owner gave it — including a shadowban that only shows as bad lobbies. A fresh account has no history to inherit, which is exactly why sellers write «0 hours» and «no bans» as features. On a played account, «handmade» is the seller's answer to the same question.

The login is the second risk, and it has more parts here than on most shelves. The Activision account sits behind a Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox login; the email behind that login is what support uses to recover it; and the phone number is attached to the Activision account itself. A listing that hands over the password but not the email is handing over an account that can be pulled back, and one that keeps its number on the seller's phone has left a door open.

Escrow covers the handover: the money stays with us until you confirm the account opens, the linked number and email are what the listing said, and the game launches. The warranty window runs from there. What it cannot cover is what you do in the first lobby — a ban for what happens after delivery is not a claim against anybody.

Change the credentials on the platform login first and on the Activision account second; a played account's value is its history, and its history can be revoked by whoever still holds the recovery email.

Say which product it is in the first words. A fresh account: the login it lives in, the region, and that the number is linked — those three lines are the listing. A played account: «ranked ready» and the level, then the camos and the season badge by name, the prestige, and whether it is sold with a number or without. Say that the email comes with it. You keep your price in full; the buyer pays our fee on top.
