The Ultra count tracks the price harder than any stat we have measured on any game. The Chrono Crystal balance tracks it backwards — and once you see why, it is the most useful thing on the page.

If you want one number: the median Dragon Ball Legends account on our shelf sells for $33.88. The range right now runs from $3.61 to $648.53 across 1 178 listings, with the middle half between $19.37 and $52.55.
It is an affordable shelf — of it goes under $20 — with a thin expensive end: clears $100. What separates the two ends is almost entirely one number.

Every step is worth roughly double the one below it. Legends Limited units follow the same direction with less force, and they flatten out at the top — past about twenty-five, another LL adds little:
Sparking units track the price too, but weakly and for an uninteresting reason: almost every account has a lot of them, so the number mostly measures how long the account has existed.
Now the row that surprises people. Look again at the correlation table: the Chrono Crystal balance is negative. More currency on the account means a cheaper account, reliably:
This is not a quirk of the sample. We split the shelf at fifty thousand crystals and looked at what else those accounts have: the crystal-rich half holds a median of three Ultras, the crystal-poor half holds six. Legends Limited units run the same way, fifteen against twenty.
The mechanism is obvious once stated. Chrono Crystals are what you summon with. An account sitting on a large balance is an account that has not summoned yet — the crystals are unspent potential, and the units are what potential turns into. The market pays for the units.
So a listing that leads with "100,000 crystals!" is telling you, without meaning to, that it has little to show for them. That is a genuinely useful thing to know before you pay, and it is the opposite of how the currency is normally sold.
The honest exception: if you want to summon yourself — if the fun is in pulling for a banner rather than owning the result — then a crystal-heavy account is exactly what you want, and it is cheap for reasons that do not apply to you. Just buy it knowing that is what you are buying.

Legends Road units deserve their own note: they correlate at essentially zero, and that is correct rather than surprising. They are earned through a permanent, repeatable event, so any account can have them given time — and a thing every account can get is not a thing anyone pays extra for.
Sort by Ultras and read the names — DBL rosters are not interchangeable at equal counts, and the specific units matter for whichever meta you are playing into. Then check the crystal balance as a warning light rather than a bonus: a large one alongside a small roster tells you where the account is in its life.
