Roblox is one of the few platforms where items genuinely trade: classic
Limiteds and Limited U hats move between accounts through the trade system,
and every one has a recent average price on its page. That number is the
easiest thing about selling a Limited and also the most misleading, because
RAP records what was traded, not what the item is worth — and a handful of
people trading an item back and forth at inflated values can write any number
they like into it.
This is a guide for the seller. The application is at
/sell/apply?offer=items; the
Roblox item value calculator gives a
directional cash range for a Limited or an experience item from a description.
- Demand tag. A Limited with steady demand sells near RAP. A projected item
— one whose RAP was pushed up by wash trades — sells far below it, and often
loses half its number within a week of the pushers moving on. Check the trade
history, not just the figure.
- Copies in circulation. An item with a few hundred copies carries a
collector premium the RAP does not show; one with tens of thousands is a
commodity priced by the dozen.
- Serial. Low serials on classic items add a premium of their own.
- Classic versus UGC. Classic Limiteds have years of trade history. UGC
limiteds can be reissued by their creator in a new version and carry that
risk; most are worth well under what their RAP suggests.
You can sell a Limited by trade — the item moves, your account stays — or
sell the account carrying it. They are different products with different
prices and risks. A trade needs Premium on both sides and closes the moment it
is accepted. An account sale prices everything at once — the inventory, the
age, the name, the Robux — and the buyer wants the email to be changeable
before anything else.
Experience items — Adopt Me pets, Blox Fruits fruits, Grow a Garden pets and
plants — are a third case: they trade only inside their game, by that game's
own trade window, and are priced by that community's value lists. Name the
game and the exact variant (neon, mega, fly-ride, permanent, mutation), because
that is the whole price.
You receive exactly the price you set — no percentage, no per-trade fee, no
rank to unlock. Robux cannot be withdrawn and a Limited sold for Robux on the
platform is worth Robux; a cash sale here pays money, at a price you set
against RAP and demand.
- List the item with its name, serial, current RAP and demand tag, plus a
screenshot of the item in your inventory. Moderation checks the listing
before it goes live.
- The buyer pays into escrow.
- The order appears in your seller cabinet at
/seller/orders with the buyer's Roblox username. Send the
trade there and mark the order delivered.
- The buyer accepts and confirms. Your money moves to hold.
- It stays on hold until the warranty window ends, then lands on your
balance.
Never send a trade before the order shows as paid, and never to a username
that is not on the order page. For experience items the trade happens in the
game after payment, the same way.
Off-sale items that are not Limiteds — they cannot be traded at all. Robux
balance beyond its face value, and only with the account. An experience item
offered outside its game. And a bundle: two mid Limiteds rarely equal one
Limited of their combined RAP.
Start from RAP, then apply the demand tag honestly: near RAP for stable
demand, a real discount for anything projected. Add a premium for low serials
and low copy counts, subtract for UGC reissue risk. The
item value calculator is a quick second
opinion before you commit to a number.
Apply once at /sell/apply?offer=items. After
moderation you set the price and edit it as RAP and demand move.
