Securing the account after delivery

An account is yours when the previous owner can no longer get back in. That is a checklist, not a feeling.

• Change the password first. Before anything else, before playing a match.
• Change the recovery email. This is the step that matters most and the one the warranty is built around: an account whose email still points at the seller is not yet transferred. If the listing said the email cannot be changed until a date, the card said so before you bought it — plan around that date.
• Enable two-factor authentication on your own phone, and remove any existing authenticator.
• Unlink platforms you do not use — consoles, social logins, third-party launchers. Each one is a door.
• Do not resell the credentials you were given without rotating them. The warranty covers recovery by the original owner, not a chain of resales you started.

If the original owner comes back

Inside the thirty-day window, open a dispute from the order page. The account is replaced or refunded. A lifetime extension of that cover is offered at checkout.

What is not covered

A ban for what you did on the account after delivery — cheating, chargebacks, selling it on — is between you and the publisher.
